Southeast Powell Boulevard is closed between 25th Avenue and 27th Avenue, Portland police said. TriMet is also reporting service interruptions in the area.
PORTLAND, Ore. — A woman on a bicycle was struck and killed by a semi shortly before noon Tuesday near the intersection of Southeast Powell Boulevard and 26th Avenue, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) reported.
The crash happened at 11:49 a.m. PPB said the victim appeared to be a woman in her mid to late 20s. The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police, PPB said.
