On a high-rise roof in North West Portland, some patio furniture catches fire.

(KOIN) PORTLAND, Ore. — Early Tuesday, a fire broke out on the roof of a high-rise building in Northwest Portland.

Patio furniture caught fire on top of a high-rise structure at Northwest 11th Avenue and Northwest Overton Street around 4:30 a.m., according to officials. When firefighters arrived, they discovered flames pouring from the roof.

According to Portland Fire & Rescue, a precautionary second alarm was issued, but it was soon canceled after the first engine to arrive doused the blaze in less than half an hour.

Although the exact cause of the fire has yet to be determined, fire authorities on the site informed KOIN 6 News that wind carried fire from a fire pit onto the patio furniture, igniting it.

There were no injuries recorded.
