Officers responded to a report of a shooting early Saturday morning on the intersection of Southeast 10th Avenue and Walnut Street near the Dunes Motel.

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Hillsboro police launched an investigation early Saturday morning after a man was shot and killed in Hillsboro.

Officers from the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a report of a shooting early Saturday morning on the intersection of Southeast 10th Avenue and Walnut Street near the Dunes Motel. 

Upon arrival officers found a man suffering from a apparent gunshot wound. In an initial statement, police said they attempted life-saving measures, but the man did not survive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No suspect or suspects have been arrested at this time.

The investigation is still in the initial phases, so the name and age of the victim will not be released at this time, according to detective.
