GRESHAM, Ore. — An armed man barricade himself inside a shed in the backyard of a Gresham home Wednesday, according to Gresham Police Department.
Reports of police activity in the 2000 block of Northeast 36th Court near the Subaru Master Distribution Center came in just after 3 p.m.
Gresham police told KGW that a 47-year-old man wanted by a U.S. Marshal’s Task Force on weapons charges was contacted in the backyard of a residence in Gresham.
The suspect then barricaded himself in a white shed in the backyard of the residence. Officers said they heard the suspect fire multiple shots from inside.
Officers are attempting to establish verbal contact with the suspect. No officer was hurt, police said.
The area around the residence is currently closed off and traffic will be affected.
